Maison de la Famille de la Basse-Côte-Nord

The Maison de la Famille de la Basse-Côte-Nord is situated on traditional Innu territory. For thousands of years the Innu First Nations inhabited and cared for this land and continue to do so today. To acknowledge this land is to recognize its long history, predating the establishment of European colonies. We acknowledge the territory’s significance to the Innu – whose practices and spiritualities are tied to the land.
